Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan
The Chief Minister is elected by the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly to serve a five-year term as the head of the provincial government. Gilgit-Baltistan was granted autonomous status and a legislative assembly in 2009, having been previously directly governed by Islamabad.
